PDFCreator Server error message: The service could not be started

If you encounter either of the following error messages:

  • "The service could not be started. Please try again"

  • "Windows could not start the PDFCreator Server service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied."

please go to the application and check your queue settings, making sure to adjust your settings as needed, e.g., add the target directory (as seen below).
