How to fix Microsoft Office ignoring letter paper format?

Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office software has an option which automatically scales the letter format to A4 or vice versa.

In Word, you can find it under:

• Options -> Advanced -> Print -> “Scale content for A4 or 8.5x11 inch paper sizes”

Note: Deactivating this option allows you to create documents in letter format.
